Linda Poynter

Teacher

Ms. Poynter earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential from Sonoma State University. Prior to DMA, her 14 years of experience in education included being a substitute teacher, a tutor for Morongo Indian Students, and a private tutor. Since 2017, Ms. Poynter has taught Language Arts in the 7th-grade class.

She is excited to be working in Title 1 in the Fall of 2020, where she will share her love of reading with students who need extra support. Her goal is to create a desire for reading, develop skills, and build confidence in young readers.

When she is not teaching, Ms. Poynter enjoys hiking, reading, dancing, and family history, and decorating.

Ms. Poynter is excited to be a part of the Montessori team where she hopes to instill a life-long love of learning in her students.
