Lottery

Thank you for your interest in Mountain View Montessori!

The Lottery will be held Feb 15th, 2024 and acceptance emails will be sent in the afternoon.

Mountain View Montessori (MVM) is a free (no tuition) public K-7 charter school. All parents wishing to enroll new students in MVM must submit an online application if there are more applicants than spaces available.

Students accepted from the lottery will receive an email with enrollment instructions that will be time-sensitive. Lottery applications received after lottery day will be added to the waitlist after the lottery students and will be accepted and notified via email as openings become available.

Because of the lottery process which is used each year to determine admission, Mountain View Montessori cannot maintain wait lists for classes beyond the current school year. Wait-listed children who are not accepted to the school during the year must undergo the Open Enrollment and Lottery process again for the following year if they wish to continue to be considered for registration.

The form must be completed for your child to be entered into the MVM state-mandated lottery. MVM is approved by the State of Utah to provide a Montessori educational opportunity to 410 students in its first operational year.

Admission to Mountain View Montessori will be in accordance with the admission procedures approved by the Utah State Board of Education. Accordingly, admission at MVM is not limited based on ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, income level, disabling condition, proficiency in the English language, or athletic ability. There is no tuition or fees charged for attending MVM except those allowed by law.

To schedule a tour or visit with the office staff, please contact us or schedule a tour. Tours should be given before acceptance. Seats cannot be held for completed tours.

A lottery gives every student a fair and equal chance at being able to attend a Charter School.  If there are more students who would like to attend a charter school than there are available seats, a random lottery is conducted to determine the priority for enrollment.  If you have questions about the lottery or current enrollment availability, please contact the school.

Sibling priority allows children in the same household to attend MVM together.  Siblings of admitted MVM Students have priority over other students on the waitlist.  Once one sibling is accepted into the school, then their siblings are moved to the Sibling Priority list and are offered a seat as soon as one becomes available.

You can e-mail admissions@mvmutah.org with questions.  This e-mail is checked daily.  You can also call our Admissions office at 435-251-8539 ext 103 to answer your questions. For quicker responses, please email.

Instructions for online enrollment are automatically sent via email when your child has been accepted from the lottery and/or waitlist.
