9 Months of Smiles

At Mountain View Montessori, we believe that real-world service builds real-world character. Each month, our classrooms step outside familiar thinking to unlock deeper understanding while supporting a local non-profit.

Whether it’s gathering needed supplies for families in need, crafting cheerful cards for local seniors, planting flowers to brighten community spaces, or spending time with rescued animals at a shelter—every student, from our littlest learners to our oldest leaders, plays a part in giving back. Even our youngest children engage in meaningful acts like assembling care packages, helping sort donations, or practicing kindness through classroom-based service projects that connect to causes beyond the school walls.

These hands-on experiences nurture empathy, teamwork, and a lifelong love of service—reminding students that even the smallest hands can make a big impact

Throughout the school year, each grade level champions a month-long community service project, giving every student the opportunity to lead, collaborate, and make a tangible difference. It's more than a project—it's a movement of kindness and teamwork, empowering children to work toward a common goal and see themselves as changemakers, one compassionate act at a time.
